Susan Maier brings a passion for strategic media relations and storytelling to her 30-year career as a public relations professional.

She formed Maier Public Relations in 2009, providing public relations consultation to a wide range of clients, from value-oriented consumer products to luxury goods and services.

Prior to founding her agency, Susan served as Director of Public Relations for The Ritz-Carlton Chicago, a Four Seasons Hotel, for close to two decades. During her tenure, the Hotel was named “Best Hotel In The U.S.” by Condé Nast Traveler for seven years - more than any other hotel in the country.

While there, she organized dozens of press tours to New York City; promoted James Beard Award-winning chefs; organized culinary evenings featuring such internationally-celebrated talents as Eric Ripert and Jean-Georges Vongerichten; and pioneered author appearances that included personalities such as the late Lauren Bacall and British star chef, Nigella Lawson.

Earlier in her career, Susan served as opening PR Director for Swissotel Chicago and managed the retail division at Chicago-based Margie Korshak Associates, coordinating publicity and special events for Gianni Versace, Stanley Korshak, NH Rosenthal Furs and Material Possessions.
